Plans are reportedly being put into place for the North West derby between Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers on Saturday to go ahead.
Doubts had been raised as to whether to the fixture would be played following the cardiac arrest suffered by Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba on Saturday.
The Premier League accepted a request from Wanderers to postpone their scheduled trip to Aston Villa, which was due to take place this evening.
However, Muamba has made slight improvements over the past 48 hours in the intensive care unit of the London Chest Hospital.
As a result, it is believed that the Wanderers squad could be in the right frame of mind to face relegation rivals Blackburn this weekend.
