Owen Coyle has said that his side must build a decent run of results after triumphing in tonight's vital Lancashire derby at Blackburn Rovers.
Coyle saw his side score twice early on to earn a crucial three points at Ewood Park.
"We've won one game tonight, a local derby. It was a thrilling game," the Glaswegian told Sky Sports News.
"What we must do now is gain that little bit of momentum and with two home games to come it gives us an opportunity to do that."
The affair was an entertaining one with both sides going for broke, but Coyle felt that the game should have been out of sight by the time Rovers pulled a goal back through Yakubu.
He added: "I felt we should have put the game to bed with the amount of chances we had but when we didn't. Blackburn responded and you can see the spirit they've got."
The win sees Bolton leapfrog Blackburn and move off the foot of the Premier League.
