Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies is looking forward to the new season and the challenge of leading the club back into the Premier League.
Bolton were relegated on the last day of the season following an 11-year stay in the top flight, but Davies is eager to get on with the task of gaining promotion out of the Championship.
"We all know the way it ended [last season], now it's time to start focusing," he told Sky Sports News.
"The fixtures are out now, which I think gives you something to look forward to. I've had a nice break away with the family and organising this has helped me take my mind off things.
"It's one of those things, you're away, you try and forget about it but it's happened now. I've started to do a bit of training and I'm looking forward to going in, seeing the boys and getting ready for the start of the season."
Davies, 35, joined Bolton in 2003 and has since made 369 appearances for the club, scoring 76 goals.
