Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has revealed that he expects midfielder Josh Vela to make an impact at the Reebok Stadium next season.
Vela has impressed at Notts County since joining the League One outfit on loan last month, and Freedman believes that the temporary spell will aid the 20-year-old's development ahead of the next campaign.
The 39-year-old told Bolton News: "It is nice to see Josh doing well at Notts County. Without his injury this season, I am sure that he would have had more of an impact in the first team.
"He has struggled to get regular senior football because of that and this loan will do him the world of good.
"It's a chance for him to prove himself, and I have every confidence that he will do that and benefit the club when he comes back."
Vela's only appearances for Bolton this season have come in cup competitions.
