Bolton Wanderers will allow midfielder Stuart Holden to continue his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury at the Reebok Stadium.
Holden's contract with the Trotters has expired, and the USA international has not been offered a new deal as he continues to recover from a third serious knee problem.
However, the Championship club have informed the 28-year-old, who has been with the club since 2010, that he can remain in the North-West as he battles to save his career.
Holden has played just 38 times during his four years at Bolton.
