Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden is expected to start light training with the Championship club this week following a lengthy absence.
The 26-year-old was sidelined with a knee injury for the majority of the Trotters' Premier League campaign last season, which ended in relegation for Owen Coyle's side.
While the knee problem has hampered the USA playmaker throughout the year, Holden is expected to be fit for the start of the new season.
Holden stated in May that he is determined to stick it out at the Reebok Stadium.
