Bolton Wanderers midfielder Lee Chung-Yong is on the verge of a return to training.
Lee, who broke his leg in a pre-season game against Newport this summer, has been forced to miss the side's entire season so far. However, club doctor Jonathan Tobin has revealed that the South Korea international is close to a return.
"He will soon progress on to the final session where we start the outdoor sessions and lead into a return to training," he told the club's official website.
"Chung-Yong has been working incredibly hard over the last few months. The main aim of the initial period is to ensure there is complete healing of both leg bones and to keep the knee and ankle joints mobile.
"He has completed that period with an excellent result at the fracture sites and has now moved into the middle period. Here we focus on returning full strength to the leg. This involves lots of gym work, fitness work and pool sessions."
Lee, who arrived at the Reebok Stadium two seasons ago, was voted Bolton Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and best newcomer in his first season at the club.
