Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has revealed that he will need to undergo further tests to determine whether he is healthy enough to play football again in the future.
The 24-year-old has made a miraculous recovery from a cardiac arrest, which he suffered during an FA Cup clash between the Trotters and Tottenham Hotspur in March.
"I'm meeting the doctors when I return to England to discuss what the next step is," Muamba told Goal.com. "I still have to undergo a number of tests, and we'll have to wait and see what the results are. It depends on the outcome of those results whether I can return to football again.
"I'm doing fine at the moment. I'm working on my recovery every day, but I still have a long way to go. It's a great thing to be here, though. I'm enjoying the time with my family, and we'll see what happens."
It was later revealed that Muamba's heart had stopped beating for 78 minutes.
