David Ngog has claimed that he is happy to play as a lone striker in order to help Bolton Wanderers avoid the drop.
The 22-year-old has found the net twice this season as the Trotters sit 19th in the Premier League table.
"When you are on your own as a striker, you have a job to do for the team," he told the Bolton Evening News. "I'm delighted to do that and I try to work hard.
"Whether the role suits me is not for me to decide. As soon as I'm on the pitch, it suits me. I don't question this."
Ngog moved to the Reebok Stadium from Liverpool over the summer.
