Bolton Wanderers condemned Blackburn Rovers to a second home defeat in four days with a superb performance at Ewood Park this evening.
Dougie Freedman's side were ahead after just three minutes when former Rovers striker Kevin Davies guided home a pinpoint cross from Chris Eagles, giving Paul Robinson no chance with a measured finish.
The visitors dominated the opening period and spurned chances to extend their lead through Jay Spearing, Eagles and Keith Andrews.
Rovers could only muster one shot on target in the opening period through Danny Murphy, who tested Adam Bogdan from a tight angle.
Bolton continued to control possession in the second half and doubled their advantage on 61 minutes through Lee Chung-Yong.
A free kick from Eagles was tipped onto the post by Robinson but Lee reacted quicker than the Rovers defence to send the rebound home.
Blackburn found a lifeline 10 minutes from time when Jordan Rhodes reduced the deficit with a well-taken header from close range.
Henning Berg's side piled on the pressure late on but failed to find an equaliser as Bolton held for their second away win of the season.
