Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has promised swift activity within the transfer market come the end of the season.

The Trotters lie sixth in the Championship and in position for a spot in the playoffs.

However, Freedman said that a return to Premier League football will not have a bearing on the type of players that he is looking to recruit.

"We will be signing two players by the end of this month no matter what division we're in," Sky Sports News quotes the 38-year-old as saying. "And there's another three that are on the sheet that the chairman's aware of.

"No matter what, I sign a certain type of player with a certain DNA. It doesn't matter what division we're in, I know what players we're going to go after.

"It's not about spending the biggest money, it's about getting the right targets. I have planned for that and I think it's always crucial to do that."

Bolton entertain Blackpool at the Reebok Stadium in the final game of the season.
