Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that the club are close to securing the loan services of Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre.
The 28-year-old has struggled for form this season, having scored only three goals in 25 outings for the Bluebirds.
However, Lennon believes that Le Fondre will provide his side with a quality that has been missing since he took charge at the Macron Stadium last October.
"We're hoping that it will be concluded this week. We are very pleased if we can get that done. He's a player that I've admired for a long time [and he has got] a great goalscoring record at every level, even in the Premier League," Lennon told Sky Sports News.
"He's the type of player we need. I need a box player. The amount of chances we create and we don't convert, I think Adam will benefit from that."
Le Fondre joined Cardiff from Reading at the end of last season.
