French striker Anthony Modeste has joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in a three-year deal from Bordeaux.
Modeste, who spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 club Bastia, said that moving to the Bundesliga was the perfect transfer for him.
"In light of the intensive talks I held with [coach] Markus Gisdol and [sporting director] Alexander Rosen, I'm sure that Hoffenheim are the right club for me," Bundesliga.com quotes Modeste as saying.
"I'm happy to be here and will do all I can to be successful with the team."
Modeste also had a loan spell with Blackburn Rovers during his time at Bordeaux.
