Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe looking for right balance in Premier League

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe says that his side will look to play attacking football in the Premier League.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has insisted that his side will remain true to their attacking principles in the Premier League.

The Cherries are preparing for their first ever season of top-flight football after winning the Championship title last term.

Howe has said that while his side will not alter the attacking approach that has served them well so far, they will not leave themselves wide open at the back either.

"It's a balance. We certainly won't lose our attacking nature. I can't suppress some of the attacking players we have. To get the best out of them, we need to get the ball in attacking areas," he told The Express.

"We'll be at our best when we're ourselves. That's not to say we're going to play kamikaze football and leave ourselves totally vulnerable.

"We learnt that through some hard knocks in the Championship and we might experience the same in the Premier League, but we'll have to adapt very quickly."

Bournemouth begin the new season at home to Aston Villa on Saturday.
