Eddie Howe has conceded that his Bournemouth side did not do enough to claim anything from their home encounter against Liverpool this afternoon.
The hosting Cherries found themselves 2-0 down at the break, while Josh King's stoppage-time goal was little more than a consolation effort.
"It was a difficult first half for us. We didn't play well at all in that period and as the home team, we didn't get near their goal enough. We gifted them possession and the game got away from us," he told the club's official website.
"In the last 30 mins we grew into the game and ended well with the goal. The subs made a real impact and if we had got the goal earlier, we could have maybe have made more of a contest of it.
"But I wouldn't say we deserved anything, we conceded two soft goals."
Bournemouth return to action next weekend with a home encounter against Chelsea.
