Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admits that he is "disappointed" to be charged by the FA, but has not yet decided if he will fight it.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has claimed that he has not yet decided how he will respond to an FA charge of misconduct, but admits that he feels "disappointed".

The 37-year-old was charged on Thursday morning for implying that there was a conspiracy by referees against Callum Wilson after the forward was not awarded a penalty in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

"I take my position as a role model very seriously towards our young supporters and everyone connected with the club," Howe said in today's press conference. "I'm disappointed to have been charged, obviously.

"I made it one of my core philosophies never to confront a referee, never to show indiscipline towards the match officials. They have a very difficult job and I wouldn't want to add to their troubles. I fell foul to making comments after the game in an interview and that's something that I'll have to review."

Howe's assistant Jason Tindall has also been charged for allegedly insulting a match official following the game last Saturday.

Both men have until 6pm on April 27 to respond.
