Eddie Howe "delighted" with Bournemouth transfer business

Eddie Howe is looking to bring one more player to Dean Court this summer, but says that he is more than happy with Bournemouth's incoming activity so far.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has declared himself "delighted" by his side's transfer business so far this window, and revealed that he is hopeful of bringing in one more addition.

The Cherries have added six new players to their squad so far this summer, including the club-record purchase of Jordon Ibe from Liverpool for £15m.

Howe has confirmed that he has essentially now finished his dealings in terms of additions, although another younger player could still be lured to Dean Court prior to the August 31 deadline.

"I'm satisfied that we're 99% of the way there," he told reporters. "We don't want to add too many more to the squad, there's potentially one position we'll look at - a younger talent. Unless we did that deal we will stay as we are.

"I do feel it's a stronger squad than last year, we have more numbers and a very good work ethic. When you recruit you have to make sure you don't lose your identity and the pleasing thing for me is that everyone has had a great mentality towards their training.

"I've gone on record to say it's difficult to attract Premier League players in their prime, we've gone down a younger route of recruitment, but we're delighted with the player we've brought in, they've got great character, attitude and will be very good players for us."

Bournemouth, who kicked off their 2016-17 Premier League campaign with a 3-1 home defeat to Manchester United last weekend, head to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
