Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Josh McQuoid is to join Coventry City on a six-month loan deal.
The 24-year-old has seen his starting opportunities with the Championship side limited by the arrival of Callum Wilson, who moved in the opposite direction earlier this summer.
As a result, he will link up with the Sky Blues until January, when the switch will be reviewed.
"He goes on loan to get those games that he needs and, from our perspective, we will review his performances as the weeks go by and see where we stand," Howe told the Bournemouth Echo.
McQuoid will become the third Bournemouth player to have arrived at Coventry on loan in recent weeks after Ryan Allsop and Mohamed Coulibaly signed on with the League One club.
