Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie has signed a new contract with the club until June 2027.
Christie originally joined Bournemouth on a three-year deal following his arrival from Scottish giants Celtic in the summer of 2021.
The Cherries have now announced the Scotland international has committed his long-term future to the club, putting pen to paper on a new deal until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Speaking to afcbTV, Christie said: "I'm absolutely delighted, I've loved my time ever since I joined the club so it was an easy decision to make.
"When I joined, everyone was welcoming and that's not really stopped. Anyone looking at the club can see we're on an upward trajectory. As a player, it's really exciting to be a part of that.
"Andoni Iraola has been brilliant - I've loved working under him so far. The way he wants to play football is definitely a way I want to play football, so it suits me. I think it suits the whole squad.
"I'm learning new things. At 28, I'm probably one of the more experienced boys in the team now, but when you're learning every day it keeps it fresh."
In his first season on the South coast, Christie helped Bournemouth win promotion from the Championship, before he played his part in steering the club to Premier League safety last term.
The former Celtic man has been a regular fixture in Iraola's side this season, having featured in all 11 Premier League matches.
In total, Christie has made 89 competitive appearances during his time with the club, registering six goals and 10 assists.
Commenting on the deal, Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: "We're delighted Ryan is extending his stay with the club.
"He has been an important part of our squad since he joined us and has unique attributes, none more so than his high level of tactical intelligence.
"Ryan is a model professional on and off the pitch and he's an extremely popular member of the dressing room. We're looking forward to seeing him continue to make an impact at Vitality Stadium for the next four years."
Christie will look to mark his new deal with a positive result when the Cherries face Newcastle United in Saturday's clash at the Vitality Stadium. body check tags ::
