Brazil international forward Neymar has insisted that he was not affected by boos from the crowd during his side's victory over Honduras at St James' Park on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Santos starlet was the subject of jeers when Wilmer Crisanto's tackle on him on 33 minutes earned the defender a second yellow card.
Brazil went on to win the game 3-2 and progress to the semi-finals of the London Olympics, as Neymar found the target from the penalty spot.
"I'm always prepared for anything," he told Marca Brasil. "To be cheered or to be booed is entirely normal.
"The only time I fell was when the Honduras player fouled me and got sent off. I will not let the criticism affect me.
"Football remains no different to me, regardless of whether I play amidst cheers or jeers."
Brazil will take on South Korea in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
