Brazil international striker Hulk was disappointed with their fans' lack of support during their 1-0 victory over South Africa in a friendly international in Sao Paulo on Friday.
The home supporters jeered the players after a lacklustre first-half display and continued to show their unhappiness despite Hulk's second-half winner.
"I think that if the fans had been on our side from the beginning of the match, we would have scored more goals," Hulk told SporTV.
"Those of us who play in big teams are already accustomed to the pressure of the crowd.
"The fans should support us more, but that is normal. There are days when things do not go your way."
Hulk joined Zenit St Petersburg from Porto on a five-year contract on Monday.
