Brazil defender David Luiz has revealed that he was pleased with his side's performance in their 2-0 victory over Mexico in their friendly match.
Goals from Philippe Coutinho and Diego Tardelli secured the win for the Selecao to register their first win on home soil since their 7-1 hammering at the hands of Germany and defeat to the Netherlands in the World Cup last year.
Luiz has admitted that he was worried heading into the match, and was relieved to register the victory.
"For me, there was more anxiety," he told Globo. "I was in the mood and I have been longing to play back here in Brazil. Football gives us these opportunities and we have to give back.
"It's good to play at home and do well, controlling the game like we did. I'm very happy about that."
Brazil are next in action against Honduras in a friendly match ahead of the Copa America.
