Thomas Frank has claimed he could name a "very strong XI" purely consisting of players currently sidelined in his Brentford squad, ahead of their trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday.
The Bees are set to be without around nine or 10 first-team players ahead of the trip to the Amex, after Krisstofer Ajer and Ethan Pinnock were both added to the injury list in the past week.
Ajer (ankle) and Pinnock (hamstring) join long-term absentees Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey on the sidelines in defence, while further forward Josh Dasilva is expected to remain out until February.
Just a few weeks after making his return after an injury-hit start to the season, Igor Thiago is out again, with Frank revealing he is suffering with an infection in one of his joints, and no timeframe has been placed on his comeback.
In better news, Sepp van den Berg is in contention to return after missing a couple of games with a minor groin issue, and Mads Roerslev is also expected to feature, and he will be needed with the defensive injuries piling up.
Roerslev was forced off just 25 minutes after coming off the bench against Nottingham Forest at the weekend after suffering a cut to the head, but it is not believed to be serious, and he has been cleared to play.
In attack, Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo are certain to start, so it will be between Kevin Schade, Fabio Carvalho, Keane Lewis-Potter and Mikkel Damsgaard to lay claim to the other two spots in Brentford's attack for this one.
Brentford possible starting lineup:
Flekken; Roerslev, Collins, Mee, Van den Berg; Janelt, Norgaard, Damsgaard; Mbeumo, Wissa, Lewis-Potter
