Brentford are hoping to complete their summer transfer dealings before they travel to Portugal for a pre-season training camp on July 6.
The Bees have already signed German midfielder Akaki Gogia and are are in talks with a number of other players.
"There are a good number of players we're looking at and are interested in and we're in various stages of speaking to them or their representatives about them. It's not just about quantity but about adding quality to the squad," chief executive Mark Devlin told Get West London.
"Nothing is imminent at the moment. We'd like them to be more straightforward than they are. We hope to have our targets in for the start of pre-season and certainly before the training camp in Portugal."
Next season will be Marinus Dijkhuizen's first in charge at Griffin Park, following the departure of Mark Warburton.
