Chris Hughton: 'Draw was a fair result'

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton admits that a 1-1 draw with Burnley was a fair result.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has claimed that neither side could complain about a point after the 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Bobby Zamora's opener in the first minute was quickly cancelled out when Andre Gray fired home from the penalty spot after Lewis Dunk was penalised for pulling Michael Keane's shirt in the box.

The draw moved Brighton level on points with leaders Hull City, and Hughton was eager to take the positives from the meeting at Turf Moor.

"I thought it was a fair result actually. After two very early goals, I suppose a lot of people might have thought it was going to be that type of game," Hughton told Sky Sports.

"But you've got two teams here that are both motivated and want to try and win and certainly don't want to lose.

"I think on the balance of play it was a fair result, particularly with us being the away team and Burnley being a very good team."

Brighton remain the only unbeaten side in the Championship this season.
