Chris Hughton has claimed that Brighton & Hove Albion were unfortunate to take nothing away from their trip to Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.
A Zach Clough strike handed the points to Bolton and ended Brighton's unbeaten run at four games, but Hughton refused to be too critical of his side's display at the Macron Stadium.
"I don't feel it is a game we deserved to lose, but we probably had to do more to go and win it," the Seagulls boss told reporters.
"The clear-cut chances were minimal for both sides. We had a period where I didn't think we were going to concede and it was going to be the team that showed a bit of quality would turn the game in their favour.
"I certainly don't think Bolton were any better than us but they got the break when it counted."
Brighton are just six points above the Championship relegation zone.
