Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton praises his team's goalscorers Sam Baldock and Joao Teixeira following their 3-2 win over Ipswich Town at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has hailed his side's goalscorers Sam Baldock and Joao Teixeira for their displays in their 3-2 win over Ipswich Town.

Baldock put the Seagulls ahead in the 18th minute, but they were soon pegged back by Mick McCarthy's men with a strike from Daryl Murphy.

Teixeira restored his team's lead before netting a second just before half time, and the goal proved to be decisive in securing the three points at the Amex Stadium despite a late strike from Freddie Sears.

Hughton told reporters: "Fair play to Sam, he's doing a job for the team and he's got high energy. Joao scored two superb goals and his work-rate was immense. You needed to get him on the ball with Ipswich playing a hard-pressing game.

"He is a flexible enough player coming in from wide areas and he is still young. He has been playing in a team that has been up and down this season but this will do him the world of good."

Brighton are 19th in the Championship following their win over the Tractor Boys.
