Brighton & Hove Albion are at the front of the queue to sign Brentford striker Neal Maupay, according to a report.
The 22-year-old scored 25 times in the Championship last season - a tally only bettered by Norwich City's Teemu Pukki - to earn links with a Premier League switch.
Aston Villa, Sheffield United and West Ham United are all rumoured to have registered their interest in Maupay, who has not featured for Brentford in pre-season due to concerns over his focus.
Sky Sports News suggests that it is Brighton who are the current favourites to sign the Frenchman, however, with boss Graham Potter eager to strengthen his frontline before the start of the season.
Brentford are apparently after £20m for Maupay, but their stance may change as the transfer window enters its final week.
