Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has reportedly retained an interest in signing Spartak Moscow forward Ze Luis.
The Premier League side have allegedly had an offer of £5m rejected for the frontman, who netted twice during the group stages of the Champions League.
However, according to The Sun, the Seagulls plan to renew their interest closer to the January transfer window as Hughton looks for a solution to their woes in front of goal.
Brighton have netted just once in their last half-a-dozen fixtures in the top flight, with that goal coming from the penalty spot in the 5-1 defeat to Liverpool.
In total, Brighton have scored just 14 times in 18 matches since earning promotion from the Championship during the last campaign.
