Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gustavo Poyet has insisted that Cardiff City have "no chance" of signing Craig Noone.
The Bluebirds are believed to have made a bid for the 24-year-old over the weekend, but Brighton have since rejected the offer.
Poyet has revealed the Cardiff would have to "more than significantly up their offer" if they are to capture the winger.
"People said to me in December are you expecting any offers for Nooney?" said Poyet. "When you get an offer that means players are doing well and it's how you can control it, depending on the offer.
"I don't know what is going to happen but what is true right now is they've got no chance.
"Cardiff City would have to more than significantly up their offer."
Noone joined Brighton in January 2011 from Plymouth Argyle.
