Bristol Rovers have announced that they intend to appeal the straight red card issued to striker Jermaine Easter in Saturday's meeting with Mansfield Town.
The 33-year-old was dismissed at the end of the first half in the feisty encounter, which the Pirates went on to win 2-1 at the One Call Stadium.
A statement on Rovers' official website confirmed that the club will look to overturn the sending off, which came after Easter allegedly headbutted an opposition player.
A decision will be made by Tuesday afternoon, meaning that Easter - one of three players to be dismissed during the match - could feature against Notts County in midweek.
