Bury have signed former Ipswich Town midfielder Tommy Miller on a 12-month contract.
The 34-year-old, who has made 481 league appearances during his 16-year career, was a free agent after being released by Swindon Town earlier this summer.
"Tommy brings a wealth of experience that is needed at this level," Bury manager Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website.
"He is excellent on the ball and is one of the key players I have been trying to bring to the club.
"He had offers at higher levels but he was very impressed with the new setup here at Gigg Lane. He will be a great asset."
Miller is expected to make his Shakers debut at Burton Albion on Saturday.
