Cambridge United have recalled Adam Cunnington from his loan spell with Bristol Rovers.
The 27-year-old featured in Cambridge's first three matches of the new season, but he was then shipped out to Football Conference side Rovers on a three-month deal.
However, the U's have decided to cut short the striker's stint at the Memorial Stadium and he could now return to the squad for Friday evening's League Two clash against Northampton Town.
Cunnington, who joined Cambridge from Tamworth in 2013, scored three goals during his 16 outings for Rovers.
