Cambridge United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Sam Beasant on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old joins the League Two side as a free agent after leaving Stevenage at the end of last season.
Beasant is the son of former Wimbledon, Chelsea and England shotstopper Dave Beasant.
"I have played against Cambridge and it has always been a great place to come to," he told the club's official website. "With the Amber Army behind you and now the development taking place, I'm pleased to have been given the chance to settle down here."
Cambridge get their League Two campaign underway on August 8 at home to Newport County.
