Jabo Ibehre has agreed to join League Two outfit Carlisle United on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old striker was looking for a new club after being released by Colchester United at the end of the season.
Ibehre will sign a one-year contract at Carlisle, with the option to extend it.
"I've said before that we have needed more attacking options and Jabo will give us a focal point," Carlisle boss Keith Curle told the club's website.
"He's a good, solid professional. He likes a challenge and he isn't scared of the physical aspect of the game in any way. The ball sticks when it comes to him and he takes pride in that."
Ibehre scored 17 goals in 76 appearances during his time at Colchester.
