Celta Vigo boss Antonio Mohamed has revealed that Iago Aspas will stay with the club this summer.
Aspas netted 22 La Liga goals during the 2017-18 campaign, and was a part of the Spain squad that competed at the 2018 World Cup.
A number of clubs - including Valencia and Atletico Madrid - have been linked with the Spaniard, but Mohamed has insisted that the former Liverpool attacker will not be leaving Vigo ahead of the new season.
"I have spoken with Aspas, he's going to show us the way and be the leader of this project," Mohamed told Cadena Ser. "He wants to stay at the club."
Aspas re-joined Celta from Liverpool in 2015 after a loan spell at Sevilla during the 2014-15 campaign.
