Scott Brown has insisted that Celtic deserved their Scottish Premiership title success following Aberdeen's defeat to Dundee United at the weekend.
With a 5-0 win over Dundee on Friday, Celtic were crowned champions on Saturday without kicking a ball after their nearest rivals were beaten.
The captain told Sky Sports News: "It was a good challenge from Aberdeen all the way. It's always hard, especially when they keep pushing. Our games were on Sundays, theirs were always Saturdays. But we kept fighting, we kept playing attractive football, and that's what we try to promote at this club.
"It was a season that was hard for us to start with, but at the end of it we got what we deserved. You always look at the league and worry when we are not top, when you look at the squad and the talent we have got in the dressing room.
"The gaffer came in and had his own style of play and it slowly and steadily got in there and we are enjoying every single moment of it now. It is coming together nicely at the end of the season and hopefully we can do that next season."
Celtic have now won the title four years in a row.
