Eddie Howe has reportedly agreed to take over at Scottish giants Celtic, who are in search of a new manager after Neil Lennon left in February.

The 43-year-old has been out of management since leaving his post as Bournemouth manager last summer, but he is now believed to be planning his backroom staff for a move to Glasgow.

Howe led the Cherries through the divisions of the English Football League before spending five years in charge of the club as a Premier League side.

According to talkSPORT the Englishman has agreed terms with Celtic, who had their target of 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row denied by rivals Rangers this season.

The report suggests that Howe is keen on recruiting staff from his former club on the South Coast, but Jason Tindall, who was Howe's assistant at Bournemouth, has reportedly dismissed the chance of moving to Glasgow.

In his second spell as Bournemouth manager between 2012 and 2020, Howe took charge of 355 games for the club, who he also represented as a player.
