Recent Celtic signing Fraser Forster has claimed that Celtic's players want to qualify for the Champions league to succeed for the club and not for the reputation of Scottish football.
There have been claims since Rangers were denied entry into the Scottish Premier League this season that the league will be devalued, but Forster has insisted that Celtic are only out for their own success.
"I don't know so much for Scottish football, just for ourselves we need to try to get into the Champions League and do as well as we can," Forster said.
"We are a big club and we worked so hard last year and this is the next progression. For the lads here and the fans, it would be a great step forward."
