Neil Lennon has said that Scott Brown will eventually need surgery to correct a hip problem.
The Celtic captain is keen to avoid the operation, and has played through the injury for much of this season.
The club's manager told BBC Sport: "He doesn't want to have surgery, so we're going to manage it.
"I can't force him to have surgery, but eventually the medical team think he will require it.
"He's feeling good and had a remarkably good game the other night. Training all the time will just keep him going."
The 27-year-old had planned to have the surgery in January, but is now hoping to continue playing.
