Celtic manager Neil Lennon is pleased with his side after their 2-1 win at Aberdeen.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon was pleased to end his side's run of European hangovers after they beat Aberdeen 2-1 at Celtic Park.

The Hoops, who drew with Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday, had lost each of their previous three league matches after European fixtures.

"We've lost the last three times off the back of European matches, so to win today is great," Lennon told BBC Radio Scotland.

"It helps us build a bit of momentum. I thought we were worthy winners, I'm very satisfied."

Lennon was also happy with the team spirit amongst his side after they claimed the three points.

"It was a good dressing room today," he added. "They've had a tough week and this was a good way to end it."

The win has kept Celtic third in the SPL table, 10 points behind leaders Rangers, although Lennon's side have a game in hand over their rivals.
