St Mirren boss Danny Lennon was left ruing his side's missed opportunities during their 3-0 loss against Celtic.
The Buddies manager believes that his team were wasteful at Celtic Park, but was full of praise for his younger players, including Kenny McLean.
"I counted that we had 12 attempts on goal and that's a big task at Celtic Park. When you get these opportunities, you have to take them. We didn't do so but we'll learn from that," BBC Sport quotes Lennon as saying.
"This type of environment suits Kenny McLean. It's a fantastic learning curve for all the young boys to come here and play today.
"Yes, we've come away empty-handed but we're not playing against that quality in the remainder of the season."
Stefan Johansen, Leigh Griffiths and Anthony Stokes were on target for Celtic during the Scottish Premiership match.
