Celtic have allegedly made an offer for Cruzeiro defender Fabricio Bruno.
Despite sitting top of the Scottish Premiership table and having reached the last 32 of the Europa League, Neil Lennon is likely to make changes to his first-team squad in January.
According to reports in South America, Celtic have bid £3m for Bruno, although it appears that the Glasgow giants were unsuccessful with their approach.
Manager Marcio Rodrigues told the Daily Mail: "This proposal came, yes, but it is not consistent with what we want. There was a little enquiry and they made a proposal, but it didn't come close to what we want."
As well as representing Cruzeiro, Bruno has also spent a season on loan at Chapecoense, where he made 25 appearances in Brazil's top flight.
