Celtic will make a fourth offer to land Peterborough United forward Lee Tomlin in January, according to a report.

Celtic are reportedly planning to make a fourth offer for Peterborough United playmaker Lee Tomlin when the transfer window reopens in January.

Peterborough rejected three successive Celtic bids for Tomlin last month, with Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony believed to be holding out for fee of around £4.5m before considering a sale.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon remains determined to sign Tomlin, a player he believes can bring a creative spark in the final third to Celtic Park.

Lennon sent Craig Strachan, son of Scotland manager and former Celtic boss Gordon, to watch Tomlin last weekend and received another glowing review, according to The Mirror.

Posh manager Darren Ferguson has praised Tomlin's attitude to staying at London Road with the transfer window closed, insisting that the 24-year-old has remained professional throughout.
