Celtic's summer signing Kyogo Furuhashi has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League side Southampton.
The Japanese international only joined the Scottish giants from Vissel Kobe in July and has since hit the ground running with eight goals in his first 11 games across all competitions.
According to Calciomercato, the Saints have been impressed with how quickly Furuhashi has adapted to life in Scotland and are now keeping tabs on the forward ahead of a potential move in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
Head coach Ange Postecoglou has had a difficult start to life at Parkhead since taking the reins this summer, and he is said to be desperate to keep hold of the 26-year-old, who has been a key player for the Hoops so far this season.
Furuhashi joined Celtic for a fee in the region of £4.6m, but the Hoops would reportedly only entertain offers significantly higher than what they bought him for just a few months ago.
Southampton have a history of recruiting players from Celtic in recent years, having previously signed the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Stuart Armstrong.
