Kris Commons has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Celtic.

The 30-year-old, who arrived at Parkhead from Derby County in 2011, has recently been linked with a return to England.

However, the midfielder has revealed that he and his family "couldn't be any happier" in Glasgow.

"I've played a long time in England and there is no great yearning to go back. My family and I are very settled up here. Both of my boys were born in Scotland and that is the most important thing for me," he told the Daily Record.

"There is no reason for me to look for something different and to think about moving away. That's three years we have been here now and we honestly couldn't be any happier.

"So for me, to be as settled as I can be and for the family to be as happy as they are, it shows on how I'm playing on the pitch. If you feel good about yourself it helps your football."

Commons has scored 20 goals for the champions so far this season.
