Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has strengthened his squad with the acquisition of Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal for an undisclosed fee.
Kayal has penned a contract at the Championship outfit until 2017, and after making his second signing since taking over from Sami Hyypia, Hughton believes that the 26-year-old's versatility will benefit the squad as they attempt to remain at the second tier of English football.
The 56-year-old told the club's official website: "He's got plenty of experience with Celtic, and is an international.
"He is a good age and is a player who is really dynamic in midfield. He can play a few roles, including the holding role, but he also has the energy to break forward.
"He can play in a two or three-man midfield, so that gives us flexibility there. He has been involved in some big games at Celtic and he will give us another real good option in midfield."
Kayal won't be eligible to feature against Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.
