Celtic manager Neil Lennon is expecting Norwich City to make another bid for star striker Gary Hooper this month.
Norwich boss Chris Houghton confirmed yesterday that a bid had been made, but Celtic rejected the offer, which is thought to be around £5m.
The 24-year-old scored twice yesterday to take his tally for the season to 19, after which Lennon admitted that he is destined to play in the Premier League.
"We had a chat last night after speaking to his representatives and we wanted to make our position clear to him and he is quite comfortable with it," Lennon told STV.
"His ambition is to possibly play in the Premier League and I think he is good enough to do it now, there is no question about that.
"It just depends on the level he wants to play at and I don't think he is far from international level either."
Celtic's win yesterday took them nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
