Southampton are expected to announce the arrival of Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama in the coming days, but a £10m move has yet to be finalised, according to reports.
The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool and Cardiff City, had previously turned down a switch to the South Coast but is said to be in London ahead of a medical with the Saints.
Wanyama's native Kenyan Football Federation announced on their website that he would become the first representative from their country to play in the Premier League.
However, BBC Solent understands that the final details of the transfer are yet to be agreed, but that Wanyama should be confirmed as a Southampton player before they depart to Spain for their pre-season tour this weekend.
He featured 49 times for the Bhoys in all competitions last season, including the Champions League, and netted nine goals.
