Cesena's Serie A future is hanging by a thread after they could only draw 2-2 with Palermo at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi this afternoon.
Nicolás Bertolo gave the visitors a 20th-minute lead but a quickfire double from the hosts turned the game around.
Firstly Napoli loanee Mario Santana equalised for the Serie A strugglers before Vincenzo Rennella netted two minutes late to put Cesena in-front.
However, Palermo, who have the worst away record in the division, were back on level terms just before the break as Argentine defender Matías Silvestre got on the scoresheet to make it 2-2.
Both sides had chances in the second period to snatch the game but neither could convert as the game fizzled out into a draw.
With the result, Cesena are now fourteen points from safety with just five games remaining.
